My approach · Documentary wedding photography

A natural approach for
memories that vibrate

You are not simply going to look at your wedding photos… you are going to relive them. After 15 years and more than 300 weddings, I have learned one thing: on that day, everything goes too fast. The bursts of laughter, the tears of emotion, the tender glances, the fleeting gestures. That is exactly what I want to capture for you. No frozen poses, no forced staging. Just the essential: the love, the intensity and the truth of your story.

15+ years of experience 300+ weddings photographed Natural light
01 Light first

My vision of light
and the image

Light is the most important element of every photograph. It sets the tone, the depth, the emotion of an image. After more than 300 weddings, I have developed a particular sensitivity for natural light: the morning light that wraps the preparations in a golden softness, the golden hour that turns a simple portrait into something magical, and even an overcast sky, which offers a diffuse light that flatters skin and eyes.

I work exclusively with natural light or the existing ambient light. No direct flash during the ceremony, no artificial lighting that would distort the atmosphere of your reception. In the evening, during the party, I use indirect flash and low light techniques to keep the energy and warmth of the moment while delivering sharp, expressive images.

My post-production is designed to last. I don't chase trends or short-lived filters. My images have a luminous rendering, true colours with a gentle softness, and controlled contrasts. The goal is simple: that your photos are as beautiful to look at in 20 years as they are today.

02 The heart of my work

Documentary reportage,
at the core of everything

My style follows the tradition of documentary reportage applied to weddings. It means I don't stage your day: I document it as it is lived, with its bursts of joy, its quiet moments and its instants of madness. In practice, I move constantly during your wedding. I watch for expressions, gestures, plays of light. I look for the angles that tell something. I will never ask you to "redo" a moment or to pose like in a catalogue.

If I guide you, it is always with a light touch: a subtle repositioning to catch a beautiful light, a suggestion to put you at ease, never an artificial staging. The result? Living images, full of movement and emotion, where you truly recognise yourselves. The kind of photos that make your loved ones say: "That is exactly how it happened."

03 Your day, hour by hour

How your reportage
unfolds

Every wedding follows its own rhythm, and I adapt entirely to your timeline. Here is how my coverage typically unfolds.

Step 01 · Intimacy · Emotion

The preparations

I usually arrive 1h30 to 2h before the ceremony, just as the energy starts to rise. I photograph the hair and makeup, the details of your outfit, shoes, jewellery, bouquet, boutonnière, the first glances in the mirror, the emotion of parents and loved ones around you. It is often a very intimate, emotionally charged moment, and many couples tell me it is one of their favourite sequences in the final gallery.

Step 02 · The heart of the day

The ceremony

Whether civil, religious or symbolic, the ceremony is the heart of your day. I position myself to cover the essential angles without ever standing in the middle of the aisle or disturbing the officiant. My professional equipment lets me photograph from a distance while capturing expressions with great precision. The exchange of rings, the vows, the applause, the first kiss: every step is documented with care.

Step 03 · Joy · Reunions

The cocktail & group photos

The cocktail hour is a turning point: the emotion of the ceremony gives way to joy, reunions and raised glasses. I move among your guests to catch the spontaneous exchanges, the embraces and the bursts of laughter. For group photos, I organise things efficiently and calmly, usually in 15 to 20 minutes at most, so they never eat into your time with your guests.

Step 04 · Just the two of you

The couple session

Often the moment couples dread the most and end up loving. I take you away for 20 to 30 minutes, ideally during the golden hour, the last hour before sunset, for natural light portraits. No frozen poses: I invite you to walk, to talk, to look at each other, and I guide you with simple, natural directions. A parenthesis just for the two of you, away from the buzz of the party.

Step 05 · Energy · Celebration

The party

The first dance, the speeches, the bouquet toss, the surprises, the dancefloor: the evening is full of strong moments and I stay to capture its energy, the improvised choreographies of your friends and the moments of connection on the dancefloor. Depending on the collection you choose, my coverage runs until the opening dance, the cake or into the first hours of the party.

04 After your wedding

Post-production
and delivery

The work doesn't stop when I put my camera away. In the days after your wedding, I start sorting and selecting your images. From the 3,000 to 5,000 photos taken during the day, I select the 600 to 800 best ones, those that tell your story with the most accuracy and emotion. Each selected image is then retouched individually. I work the light, the colours, the contrasts and the details to obtain a harmonious, consistent rendering across your whole gallery. This is not a filter applied in bulk: it is a personalised treatment, image by image, which represents around 30 to 40 hours of work per wedding.

Delivery takes 4 weeks on average after your wedding. Your photos are delivered through a private online gallery, secured by password and accessible for one year, with high definition download and easy sharing with your loved ones, wherever in the world they are.

05 My commitments

What you can expect
from me on the day

First, punctuality: I always arrive early, with my equipment checked and a plan B for any technical surprise, a second camera body, replacement lenses, spare batteries and cards. Then, discretion: my work must never take over your experience. You should enjoy your wedding forgetting my presence, while knowing that every important moment is being captured. Finally, responsiveness: I adapt in real time to the flow of your day, to timeline changes, to the weather, and to all the little surprises a wedding holds.

And the support starts well before the day itself. As soon as you book your date, I share my couples' guide, 28 pages of advice written over 15 years and more than 300 weddings, to help you prepare every step with peace of mind. Around six months before the wedding you receive a detailed questionnaire, and we finalise the flow of your day together in a preparation meeting. You can write or call me at any moment for the smallest question, because a wedding that photographs beautifully is above all a wedding that is well prepared.

06 Frequently asked questions

Your questions about
my way of working

  • How many photos will we receive after our wedding?
The exact number depends on the length of my presence and the intensity of the day, but on average I deliver between 600 and 800 retouched photos for a complete wedding reportage. Every image is carefully sorted and individually retouched. I always favour quality: you will never receive duplicates, blurry photos or images without interest.
  • Do you use flash during the ceremony?
No, I never use direct flash during the ceremony, whether civil, religious or symbolic. The noise and light of a flash disturb the moment and distort the atmosphere. I work with very fast lenses, f/1.4 to f/2.8, and high ISO sensitivity to capture every emotion in natural or ambient light, without any intrusion.
  • How do you prepare our photos ahead of the wedding?
As soon as the contract is signed, I share my couples' guide, a personal 28 page document written over my 300 weddings and 15 years of experience. It gathers all my advice for a serene wedding day: organising the preparations, the ideal timing of each step, anticipating the golden hour for the couple session, managing group photos, planning for the weather, lighting advice for the party. Around six months before your wedding, you then receive a detailed questionnaire, and we refine the timeline together in a preparation meeting. Nothing is left to chance.
  • What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Rain has never stopped me from delivering a beautiful reportage. In more than 15 years and 300 weddings, I have faced every weather condition imaginable. An overcast sky offers a soft, flattering light for portraits. And if the downpour is too heavy, I know how to use covered spaces creatively. Photos in the rain under an umbrella are actually often among couples' favourites.
  • Do you speak English?
Honestly: I understand English well and I'm learning to speak it better all the time, though I'm not fully fluent yet. To make sure nothing is ever lost, I use Ray-Ban Meta glasses with live translation for any moment that needs precise words. And with 300+ weddings behind me, I anticipate the day visually, so communication is never a barrier to great photographs.
  • What equipment do you use for a wedding reportage?
I work with two professional full frame camera bodies, which guarantees total redundancy in case of technical failure, something that has never happened in 15 years, but I prefer to be prepared. My lenses cover every focal length needed, from wide angle for atmosphere to telephoto for distant portraits during the ceremony. I also carry enough batteries and memory cards to cover a full day without interruption.
  • Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes, I offer high end albums, printed in a professional laboratory on thick, quality paper. The album is entirely personalised: we choose the images, the layout and the cover together. It is a precious object, designed to be passed down through generations, and it ships internationally. This option is available alongside all my collections, with details on my investment page.
